I bought this goal because I had left my Cannon Rebel XSi and damaged the lens kit that comes with the original camera. I’m an amateur. This goal is easy to use, tough and takes pictures very quickly and gives me great close-ups. It does certainly add weight to the camera. Rating: 4 / 5

  • The lens is very well built, has an excellent range of focal length (24-136mm equivalent on a full size camera sensor), very strong in the middle, but the left side of the images were out of focus. The lens also has vignetting at any focal asymmetric (like 24mm) and uncorrectable. I sent it back for replacement of the replacement, but also has the same type of bullet in certain lengths focales.En whole has disappointed me in this goal as all my other lenses are better and have no such problems. I have to send to Canon for adjustment and repair warranty, with the hope that is adjustable and not a design problem with this. Rating: 3 / 5

  • After a month of intensive use, I am very happy with that lens. The focal range makes it a very good around the lens (15mm be wide enough in most situations and 85mm to be enough) and now my goal in the default contrast and sharpness cámara.El well above the 18-55 kit sold with my cámara.La construction quality is good and the objective is quite pesada.Los only minor problems are a lot of barrel distortion at wide angle and a visible bullet at the widest aperture (the latter is very easy to fix because not really a problem). The goal is not cheap but worth it. Rating: 4 / 5

I recently upgraded from the EF-S 18-55 IS EF-S 15-85 IS. Great lens, the difference between 17 and 15 is very noticeable when needed. I recommend Canon to anyone. The image quality is excellent, there’sa bit the bullet, but when you shoot in RAW, which is easily correctable in Canon’s DPP and the slight barrel distortion. I have not seen any chromatic aberration (CA). The USM motor is excellent, quick, quiet and precisas.La f/22 minimum aperture at 15mm is yf/36 in 85mm, which I love, a remarkable step forward from the ISUS 18-55 lens 15-85 in any of the Rebel series cameras can feel a little unbalanced, unless you have the battery grip on the camera. Shooting with the 50D, which is the body of the camera a little larger and heavier, so it’s a good game and well balanced, comfortable. The aim is considerable, with a 72 mm filter size, to be sure I’m taking after I bought a Nikon and B + W 77mm Circ. Pol, and use it in the lens with a 72-77 step ring. This will eliminate any possibility of vignetting filter! Not an “L” lens, but not EF-S are .* Evaluation (on a scale of 5 points) Image Quality – Price 5valor – 3la quality of construction – of 5rango focal length – 5la speed of the lens (f / stops) – Focus 4velocidad – 5enfoque quiet – 5Distancia focusing (macro) remains constant throughout the focal length range, with about 7 or 8 inches (18-20 cm). I have some pictures in my gallery: [. . . ] Go to my gallery called “Gallery” of the first 3 images: the Statue of Liberty and the two images titled “deer tracks in the snow” have been taken for this purpose. Do you recommend this item to a friend (or friend)?. . . SiMe undoubtedly have liked to see this objective as a constant f / 4, but I’m thinking of the physical size of the lens of this type would be unbearable. Rating: 4 / 5

If you must choose one of high quality walk around the lens of his Canon APS-C (1. 6x) DSLR, that’s all. I debated between this and the Canon 17-55m f / 2. 8 is an additional range cattle (the extra 2mm on the wide end helps dramatically, and more telephoto reach is good too), and is 25% cheaper, does not hurt. The great advantage of the other F2 lens. Maximum opening 8 may be important for some. Decent shot a little video and do not mind the smaller aperture for a little more latitude in focusing errors, including my silences are rarely below F5. 6, although I have other goals to meet other needs (50 mm f / 1. 4 USM and 70-200 f / 2. 8L IS). Along with the EOS 7D, this lens is perfect as quite compact and very capable kit. The images are sharp and colors, focus is fast. The build quality feels solid. No problem at all, why only 4 stars, then? I do not know, it was difficult to give 5 stars when I compare with my faster lenses L, although these are much more expensive. I guess it’s absolute rating scale for me:) Rating: 4 / 5
