I just bought a Canon EOS 7D and brought it to Mexico on a family trip to play with. I’m pleased with the results but there are some functional challenges to overcome using a still camera for video. Needless to say though, the picture quaility is phenomenal. I decided to contain the shoot to the only lens I have right now which is the 18-135mm f3.5 and to stay overcranked at 60fps 720p to see what that would look like. I played with other settings to see what would happen from shot to shot. No doubt this site will reduce the fps to 30 though.
