I ordered this lens Beachcamera to go with the D40x SLR kit was also buying. The lens is nice, smooth zoom, the optics are sharp, fit on my new Nikon, but no autofocus compatility the D40x. Note that not all lenses of the “AF” are not all auto focus with all cameras in the line of the brand. Only lenses labeled “AF-S” and “AF-I” are compatible with the Nikon D40 and D40x, and I can say Tamron has none of these types of AF for a Nikon mount. Now I have to suffer the S & H and return to 10% of the fees beachcamera livestock. . . not make the same mistake I did! Rating: 2 / 5
This lens is wonderful! I have taken many amazing photos with this lens (not my skill at all). The company accelerated the shimpent and arrived in time for my return trip in October. I bought this lens with my Nikon D80 and used in much of the time. Was associated with a warming filter, this goal was taken good pictures. He was a workhorse for me until I started doing shots out at football matches. This slow their AF became a problem and I updated the model Tamrom AF 70-300 Di. I also took some photos near this goal, but had to get a good way back. This is a good starter zoom, but will show its deficiencies very soon. Rating: 3 / 5
A wonderful lens beginners to practice skills telephoto, especially for the price! I bought it to take photos in Yellowstone National Park, and never failed me when I wanted to zoom in animals and landscape features! Although if you are looking for the quality of the lenses more surprising, this is for you! Rating: 4 / 5
